Merry Christams
My family tradition is to exchange gifts on Christmas Eve. So tonight I will be gathering with my loved ones, and we will be opening our presents, laughing and sharing in the memories of years gone by, and the hopes and dreams of the future.
This year I did all of my shopping online, because I simply did not have the will power to face the crowds, and settled for the convenience of home delivery. It is amazing what you can buy these days online, literally anything and everything that you may need, or should I say want. Whether I need that extra pair of black jeans remain to be seen. But I digress.
It is easy for us to get wrapped up in gifts (pun intended) and miss the whole point of Christmas... which is to remember the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who came from heaven to live among us, and to die for us on the cross. On that day human kind received the biggest gift it would every get... a way into heaven and living eternal life with Him. John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Thanks to Him dying on the cross for us, we are forgiven from our sins, and are destined for Him, if we believe in Him (2 Cor 5:21). Therefore nothing can separate us from His love (Rom 8;39). His love, is the greatest gift in my life, and I cling to it every day.
From my family to yours, I wish you a Merry Christmas.
