Chasing the dream
This is what dreams are made off...
I've read a lot of books about how to start a business, run a business, market a business, etc. There are a lot of gurus out there, some just trying to turn a profit and reeling you in, and others that actually make some sense. Of all the ones that I've reviewed the two individuals who I respect the most are Tim Ferris and Jeff Walker. Why? Because both come from extremely humble beginnings, and then went on to be huge successes. I'm a sucker for the underdog. It also happens to be that both of them, try to adhere to a 4 hour work week, meaning they're businesses mainly run themselves and they just check in for a few hours a week.
But what most people don't see is that neither of them started there. Both worked countless hours before they were able to achieve that level of success. Anyone who thinks they're just going to work 4 hours a week out of the gate, will have a rude awakening on day 2 or get so demoralized that they'll just throw in the towel, and go back to that 8 to 5 job.
Why do I tell you this? Well, simply it's because I'm about to start and experiment. This experiment is going to last hopefully for a few years, and I hope to document for you how I go from working as a teacher to a mogul. If you follow along you may learn some lessons or you could also just sit back and laugh at me, because of the dumb mistakes I'm going to make. But I promise you, I'm going to be honest, and it's going to get messy.
My dream is to ultimately get to a place where I only need to work 4 hours a week to make a living, and the rest of the time I can spend with my family and pursuing my passions.
So buckle your seat belts and lets go!
Next time... So who am I?
